14 WEEK POST PARTUM VIRTUAL SUPPORT & SKILLS GROUP PROGRAM (VIRTUAL)
|
You do not have to be diagnosed with PostPartum Depression (PPD) to attend. This group is for those with PPD who need more support / skills training and for those who would simply like support and education during this important and special time of transition. You can begin group at any time during pregnancy through the first year postpartum.
My postpartum virtual support group is now open to those interested. Group must have at least 5 people to open.
Group members do not have to be individual counseling clients of mine to participate. However, those who are not current individual counseling clients of mine will need to go through a brief, free intake to determine readiness and appropriateness for group. If you are an individual client of another therapist you can still attend this group. I would ask that you tell your individual therapist that you are attending this group. If you are interested in participating in this group, you can share your interest by filling out the form below. When the group has at least 5 members it will open - so invite your mama friends! “Private” groups can be formed if you would like to limit group to friends you know as long as there are at least 5 members.
Why is there a 14 week commitment?

Why is there a 14 week commitment?
This group requires a 14 week commitment because it is structured after a largely psychoeducational series of sessions that has been scientifically studied for efficacy by researchers and psychologists in Australia. (Milgrom, J., Martin, P., & Negri, L, 2006).
I feel strongly that it is important to get all the information offered, setting you up for the best chance of success. I do understand that the pregnancy & the postpartum period can be a busy time, and mothers often have many competing time demands. While I strongly suggest that you prioritize your own self care and education by attending group, a copy of the information given during group will be given to you if you miss a week. Therefore you will still be responsible for the total group fee even if you cannot attend a session since this is a full group program. If the total program fee cannot be paid at one time (with a discount) you may pay weekly if this helps financially but this should not be seen as a pay per week option.
